Helen Haines on war powers reform

by Staff Writers | Jul 29, 2021 | Independents, War Powers Reform

It should be a decision only taken when all other peaceful mechanisms for dispute settlement have been exhausted. There is no easy yes or no answer to the question on war powers reform. It is an idea very worthy exploring but there are many elements to consider, including that parliamentarians don’t have access to the same security briefings as the Prime Minister and Cabinet.”
