On mainstream media, troll armies and venal ‘influencers’. Australians are manipulated, punching each other horizontally while the boot comes down vertically. The labels and identity politics – commies, RWNJs, cookers and Leftards – are just a convenient distraction so we don’t challenge what real power and money are doing.
Albo & co are not ‘far left’, they are classic neo-liberals captive to vested interests – fossil fuels, gambling and media interests and so forth. As for Dave Hughes’ ‘extreme left’ claims and Pauline Hanson’s constant migrant bashing, all this misses the point … the stealthy march to authoritarian democracy, ‘trickle up economics’, fuelled by corporate media.
