Mike Freelander on war powers reform

When asked if he believed Parliamentary approval should be required before Australian troops are deployed overseas, Federal Labor Member for Macarthur, Mike Freelander said, “These grave matters are appropriately considered by the executive, which is accountable to the Parliament, and I welcome an inquiry to further examine these issues.”
