When asked if he believed Parliamentary approval should be required before Australian troops are sent into armed conflict abroad Joel Fitzgibbon, outgoing Labor Party member for Hunter, said that there is no need for war powers reform and that Scott Morrison should be able to declare war without consulting Parliament.
