The Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) is the peak lobbying body for oil and gas producers operating in Australia.

APPEA is launching its three day 2022 Conference and Exhibition today which is heavily supported by both sides of politics.

The conference is funded by Keith Pitt’s Geoscience Australia and Angus Taylor’s Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

The Australian Government joins the likes of Woodside, Exxon, Chevron, BP and Inpex in sponsoring the event.

Queensland Labor Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is to speak at the “Positive Energy for a Changing World Sponsored by Woodside and ExxonMobil” tomorrow alongside Former Liberal Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop and the Former Minister for Defence and Minister for Foreign Affairs for Labor Stephen Smith.
