A growing list of Australian registered charities has been identified by Michael West Media which funnels money to entities in Israel linked to the IDF and illegal West Bank settlements. They enjoy tax concessions in Australia, including in some cases Public Benevolent Institution status.

Michael West established Michael West Media in 2016 to focus on journalism of high public interest, particularly the rising power of corporations over democracy. West was formerly a journalist and editor with Fairfax newspapers, a columnist for News Corp and even, once, a stockbroker.
